Our Story

My photo
Ben and I met in 1996, began dating in 1999 and married in 2001. Now 20 years and 2 children later, we have returned to where our life together began. Ben works for the Federal Reserve and I have the privilege of staying home with our two precious boys.

COPS Day

As I was downloading pictures from Ben's phone I found this special day from waaayyyy back in September! The Gwinnett County Police Department puts on this community event annually and they bring out each kind of vehicle for the kids to climb on and inside of. If you know anything about Ethan and Caden, you know how much they LOVE all types of vehicles: land, water, and sky. Every time we get in the car they are on the search so when we got the opportunity to attend this event we knew that they would have a blast! It did not disappoint, the only thing we would have changed was being able to spend more time there. Unfortunately, we had to leave early to get to Ethan's soccer game which he was NOT happy about!

First stop: "Flying" the helicopter
Watching the ladder truck was a big hit
Thankfully, for this fearful Mommy, they were not allowing trips to the top.
Checking out the computers on the inside of the fire truck
 "Driving" the rescue boat
Caden deep in conversation with the firefighter
Two little ride along passengers in the police car
Ethan checking out the back of the police department's "party" bus
 Driving the ladder truck
 Going Solo
Ethan got a chance to participate in a basket rescue simulation while Caden encouraged him from the sidelines
So cute! He pulled so hard he went all the way down to the ground
Look closely and you'll see a little head way up high on top of this truck

Last stop: Climbing up the back of a fire truck

We had so much fun and didn't even get to see all of the trucks, cars, helicopters, and exhibits. This is definitely an event we hope to attend every year!
