Our Story

My photo
Ben and I met in 1996, began dating in 1999 and married in 2001. Now 20 years and 2 children later, we have returned to where our life together began. Ben works for the Federal Reserve and I have the privilege of staying home with our two precious boys.

A Laid-Back Wednesday

This morning we set out for a short visit to the spray park with sweet friends.

While Ethan played, Caden hung out and made cute faces. This is the happiest little boy a Mommy could ask for! After baths and naptime we got out the train set and while Ethan and I played, Caden scooted himself completely off of his floor gym to be right next to us! So sweet!!!

Ethan's 2nd Birthday

While Mommy did the last minute preparations for Ethan's Construction birthday party at the spray park, Daddy was busy putting together his big boy present!

It was waiting for him when he woke up the next morning. I love his excitement!
After the birthday party, he got to take it for a spin around the yard. He had to put his dump truck birthday balloon in the jeep so that it could ride around with him. He's got the gas pedal down pat, but we're still working on steering. Mimi was a wonderful cheerleader the whole time!

Mimi's presents for the birthday boy...she doesn't spoil him at all!!!

Just splashin' around before eating lunch at the party After everyone played, we had lunch under the pavilion

As always, Ms. Kristin was wonderful and put everyone's name on their hard hat. Ethan had fun playing with his!

Once lunch was finished, we changed into our birthday outfit for the smash cake and cupcakes.

His bulldozer smash cake!

The birthday boy blowing out his candle...with a little help from Mommy and Mimi.

Baby Caden was perfect the entire party!! He was either napping in the stroller or getting some love from Mimi or Aunt Ashley.

After the party and naptime, he changed into his bulldozer outfit and headed outside to play with the bulldozer excavator that Uncle Chad and Aunt Ashley got for him.

What a day! Even though he went to bed on time, this poor child was so wound up from the excitement of the day that at 10:15 we still saw little eyes in the monitor!

We love you Ethan and couldn't imagine our lives without you! The joy you give us each day is beyond anything I could have ever dreamed possible!

Just another Friday

Before heading to the park this morning, we tried giving brother some time in the Bumbo seat. Ethan thought it was hilarious to see brother sitting up!

Look at this chubby little face!

Then we headed out to play in the sand with our precious Ms. Kristin and sweet friends, Ava and Aubrey.
