Our Story

My photo
Ben and I met in 1996, began dating in 1999 and married in 2001. Now 20 years and 2 children later, we have returned to where our life together began. Ben works for the Federal Reserve and I have the privilege of staying home with our two precious boys.

Disney: Day 2

The next morning bright and early, Daddy headed off to class and Mommy, Mimi, and the boys headed over to the Beach Club to go to Cape May Cafe for breakfast, our first character meal of the week. Daddy had armed us with special Disney autograph books for the trip and Ethan had been practicing saying, "May I have your autograph, please?" so we were ready! For the last several weeks, we had been preparing the boys for the characters to be much bigger when they meet them than what they were used to seeing on TV and movies. Ethan had expressed some uneasiness about this but as soon as he saw the first character he screamed out their name and couldn't wait to hug them! Caden, who had not shown the least bit of apprehension, all of a sudden decided he liked them better from afar.

So when Goofy first came by our table Caden wanted nothing to do with him and much preferred brother to have his picture taken instead :-)

But Minnie completely took his shyness away and gave him the giggles. He had a crush on her the rest of the week. So precious!

It was so funny but Caden decided from the beginning he did not care too much for Donald and pretty much spent the whole week scooting away from him.

He much preferred taking pictures with Mimi instead :-)
After breakfast, we decided to take a boat and monorail tour. From the Dolphin, we caught the boat over to Epcot, then Hollywood Studios. After that, we took a bus over to Magic Kingdom.
And from Magic Kingdom, we rode the monorail back to Epcot. The boys LOVED all of the different forms of transportation and made for a cost-free day of entertainment.
We came back to the hotel after exploring for lunch and naps then got dressed so that we could go to dinner on the Boardwalk when Daddy returned from class.
After a nice patio dinner, the boys set off for some boardwalk games and we did a little shopping.
We thoroughly enjoyed watching the street performers each evening.
As we walked back across the Boardwalk to play on the beach at the Dolphin, Ben took this picture of our home for the week. I truly enjoyed staying there and I was completely surprised to find out that we received the same benefits other resort hotels on property did.
Even though it was getting dark, we took some time to enjoy the nice evening

And while the boys played...

Daddy did a little relaxing :-)
This life size checkers board was so cool!

A successful day full of entertainment. More adventures await us tomorrow!
