Wednesday morning started bright and early because we had a full day planned at Magic Kingdom. And BOY did we make a day of it...9 a.m. until midnight! Ethan and Caden had not ever been up that late but if it's going to happen Walt Disney World is the place to do it :-) Magic Kingdom, whether you do it in one day or six days, is exhausting. Since the boys are so young, we decided to do all we could do in one day and call it done until next time. We were armed with our Fastpasses and Mommy's Itinerary and we were off!

Our first stop was It's a Small World but we all rode in the same car so all of the pictures that I took were extremely close up. After that, we went straight over to Mad Tea Party to ride the teacups, my childhood favorite! Ethan could not spin it fast enough and Caden was hilarious making dizzy faces.

After that, we headed to Tomorrowland Speedway and sped(Ha!) around the track
Then headed over to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh next. I completely love that they had so many things for the kids to do while waiting for the ride
Poor Caden was my riding buddy most of the day, so there were lots more pictures of Ethan and Mimi. We switched in the afternoon, though. After Winnie the Pooh, we went to Cosmic Ray's for some lunch, then it was time for our Fastpasses to kick in. After lunch, we caught some of the Move It, Shake It parade but it was too overstimulating for Ethan so we headed back toward the castle to catch a bit of the Dream Along with Mickey show.
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin was a HUGE hit! The boys loved everything we rode but the looks on their faces when they were shooting at their targets on this ride were precious.
We had enough time before our next Fastpass to check out the hat shop and while everyone picked out their souvenir mouse ears, Mimi found this super cute hat!
Then it was time for Peter Pan's Flight. Another big hit!
After that it was snacktime at Gaston's Tavern. The boys loved getting to toss a penny into the fountain. Once our break was over, we checked out the street show Wowzer while waiting for our next Fastpass.
Our last Fastpass of the day was Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Oh My Gracious, I am so glad Mimi rode with Caden on this one! There are controls inside of each elephant that allow you to control the flying height and Caden made FULL use of them!
It was hilarious watching them! He was Up, then way Down, back Up, drop Down, Up, and Down the entire duration of the ride! I could totally hear his belly laughs whenever they dropped down and the grin on his face during this ride was priceless!
After Dumbo, we rode the WDW Railroad over to Frontierland. It was nice to have a break to see the sights without walking.
Once we arrived in Frontierland we pressed some souvenir pennies then walked to Liberty Square to ride the Liberty Belle Riverboat...again the boys favorite mode of transportation for the week. We got a great view of Tom Sawyer Island while riding and decided that although we would enjoy it, the boys probably would get bored so Mommy took it off of the itinerary. Then we walked past the Swiss Family Treehouse and decided that as much as we wanted to walk through it, Ethan and Caden would probably spend more time running away from us and exploring on their own than staying with us, so Mommy dropped that one from the itinerary as well.
Which truly worked in our favor because it was time for dinner. We headed over to Pecos Bill's to eat then walked back through Cinderella's Castle to get set up for the Main Street Electrical Parade. We found an amazing spot for the parade and got set up. Our timing worked out perfectly because Mimi wanted to let the boys each pick out a special toy from Magic Kingdom so she took each boy separately to one of the gift shops while I stayed with the other and we had a treat sitting in our parade spot. Soon after Mimi returned with Caden, it was time for the parade to begin. This was one of the events I had most been looking forward to the whole week and the boys were mesmerized!

Ethan was so into it, clapping, yelling hi to Mickey and Goofy, and mimicking what he saw the characters doing.
After the parade, both boys wanted to stay and see Tinkerbell fly over the castle. They weren't thrilled about staying for the fireworks but once Tinkerbell flew over, the fireworks began and it was impossible to leave. As tired as we were, I am truly glad that we stayed because both Ethan and Caden enjoyed the fireworks and were not near as scared of them as they thought they would be.
OH MY it was late after that and everyone was trying to leave the park at the same time and it is complete madness. Thankfully, by this time the boys were beyond exhausted and looked like this. Only Mimi and I had to deal with the chaos.
Once we got back, Ethan woke up long enough to get a quick bath and insist on wearing his ears to bed :-)
WHAT A DAY! One of the longest but most memorable days of my life. I think Ethan, Caden, and Mimi's first trip to Magic Kingdom was a success. It took us 2 days to recover after that, but we saw all of the park and there were only a few things on my itinerary that we didn't have time for. I knew that we wouldn't have time for all of it, but I am surprised at how much we did with a 2 and 4 year old. Having said that, I WILL NEVER do it again. Magic needs at least 2 days which will better benefit us as the boys get older when they will be old enough and tall enough to do even more than we did this time.
