July was super busy and it continued with a special visit to Uncle Chad and Aunt Ashley's house in Huntsville, Alabama. They were definitely prepared for us because there was a great playset in the backyard just waiting for two little boys! Sadly, I missed taking pictures of the boys with Chad & Ashley as well as their super sweet birthday party for Ethan.
The highlight of our trip was the boys' first visit to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. Growing up, I don't remember ever getting too much out of it but I have to admit that it has either gotten more interesting in the last 25-30 years or my interests have changed. The boys MOST definitely had a blast and thoughts of boredom never entered their mind.
Cycling
Little Astronauts
There were tons of child-centered activities
As well as activities appropriate for all ages
Rockets
The boys were in complete awe of the size of the rockets.
This one had tables under it for picnic lunches.
This one had misters under it to help people stay cool on hot summer days.
They look so little compared to the huge rockets!
Before leaving we checked out the military field. There were several helicopters and vehicles to see but the Chinook was the boys' favorite.
Of course, they wanted to check out the Chinook helicopter as well.
Caden looks tiny standing in front!
Ethan is on a huge military kick right now so he was thrilled to be able to get so close to it!
We had a terrific time spending the weekend with Uncle Chad and Aunt Ashley and we can't wait to do it again!
