A few months before his birthday we went bowling with Mimi one weekend and Ethan absolutely loved it! So when we started talking about what he would like to do for his birthday, he asked about going bowling. We thought that was a great idea! This was the first birthday party that I had ever planned where I was not responsible for food, games, favors, and decorations. WOW, it was amazing! Is there any going back after that??!!??!?
The birthday boy rolled the first ball and pretty much rocked it...
again and again!
Caden decided that the ramp was more his speed...
Everyone had fun bowling
and we kept both lanes busy for quite some time!
Then it was time for pizza
After eating, we sang to the birthday boy and he blew out his candle on the little cake
before we passed out cupcakes
Then it was arcade time.
It was totally a boy party because this was probably the highlight for everyone as they collected their tickets from playing each game.
Once they had used all of their tokens, the boys took their tickets to the counting machine
then got to trade them for an item of their choice
The party was a hit!
We've even had one of our little friends repeat the party for their birthday since then. The best part for Mommy...no clean up and no stress! AmAzInG!!!
Once we returned home, Ethan got to open his presents.
Legos were definitely popular this year!
After taking some time to rest, we ended the day at the theater watching our newest favorite movie, Planes: Fire & Rescue
What a birthday celebration for our big 5 year old boy!
