Our Story

My photo
Ben and I met in 1996, began dating in 1999 and married in 2001. Now 20 years and 2 children later, we have returned to where our life together began. Ben works for the Federal Reserve and I have the privilege of staying home with our two precious boys.

A lazy afternoon

Ethan can't get enough of his baby brother!

We are a Word World watching family!! Even at 9 weeks, Caden is fascinated!
Pay no attention to the mismatched outfit, but I think this is an adorable picture! He was trying lay down just like Caden was laying on his floor mat.
This isn't the best picture, but I caught him laughing!

We're growing up, he grabbed his toy!!!!

Wet Fun

Yesterday we met some church friends at Harry Myers. This was our 2nd trip to the spray park this season, but the first that I had both boys by myself. After Ethan ran away and I chased him down the hill toward the lake twice, we packed up and left. Today we attempted to go again and this time we met Ethan's best buddy, Keller(AKA "Kecker"), there. He only ran off once today...not that this is acceptable either, but at least it's an improvement :-) Yesterday he barely got wet and was intimidated by the water, but today...

Rangers Game

Last weekend, Ben and Ethan went to see the Rangers play! Last year we took Ethan to his first game but he was too young to realize what was going on. This time he and Daddy had a great time with wonderful friends!

A trip to the Zoo!

We braved the June Texas heat and headed to the zoo today. Outside of the heat, it was a terrific day. Ethan loved every minute of it and Caden was so good!

Here are the 2 buddies!

The look on his face is priceless!
Loving the lions!
So excited that everyone was looking at the camera!!!
Mommy, Ethan, and Caden(who was sleeping peacefully in the carrier)

Ethan and our AMAZING friend, Ms. Kristin, with the giant turtles.

What Mommy didn't catch on camera was the fully clothed run through the children's stream. We brought swimsuits for the kids so that they could play when we got there, but Ethan was walking instead of riding in the stroller when we reached the stream. Once he saw the water, he went running full force into the stream...socks, sneakers, clothes, and all! When he realized that I was trying to catch up with him, he went into a hyterical giggle and began running up and down the stream away from me! What a little stinker!!!! So thankful that I brought a change of clothes with us, including another pair of shoes!!!!! Who would have thought that I would have needed it. Keller, of course, was a perfect angel the entire day!

Sweet Friend

I would definitely say that Ethan's best friend is Keller, or as he likes to call her "Kecker." He and Keller were born 10 days apart and he loves their playdates!

No smiles, but I promise they were having a good time!

Precious Brothers

Ethan absolutely adores his little brother...sometime a little too much!
Sweet smiles!

Spray Park

Uncle Chad came to visit last week and we spent lots of time on playdates! Chad definitely got to see what his future looks like! Ethan LOVED every minute with "Uncadad" and can't wait until his next visit! Our first outing was a trip to the spray park.

"Uncadad" devotedly followed Ethan all over the spray park and even chased him on several attempted getaways down the hill to the pond!
Ethan even saw his friend, Mallory, while we were there!
This mister was his favorite spot of the day! His giggles were hilarious every time he ran through it!

Summer fun!

Ben bought Ethan a plastic baby pool with a slide and it's a big hit! I haven't ever seen one that has a slide and I think it is so neat! Ethan wasn't too sure about it at first, but now can't get enough!
