Ethan's birthday party was planned for the weekend after his birthday so he and Daddy made special plans to go to Legoland to celebrate.
Unfortunately, on the way downtown, Ben's car lost some sort of clip underneath. Thankfully, Uncle Mike knew exactly what to do and they stopped on their way to get it fixed. Mike was super sweet and let Ethan "help" him with the $2.00 repair!
After a quick fix, they were on their way again. This was Ethan's first trip to Legoland and he and Daddy had a blast so Ben bought us a family pass for the year!
He wasn't too sure what awaited him on the other side of the double doors...
but he was immediately mesmerized as soon as he walked in.
He loved checking out Atlanta in Lego-size
It truly is magnificent to see, there are so many details!
Then on to the 3D Lego movie theater
After building a Lego car and racing it down their track, going on the Lego laser ride, and climbing through the Lego play center, they headed toward the Mega blocks to play for a minute on the way out.
By the time they returned home, Caden had woken up from his nap and we got changed to head over to spend the rest of the afternoon at Lake Lanier Islands. Ethan is loving the slides this year!
He rode this one over and over until dark!
We did have birthday cupcakes that evening but Mommy forgot to take pictures :-(
Ethan is growing up so fast! He truly has become his own person with independent ideas and a stubborn streak a mile long...poor guy has no hope and got a double dose from both Mommy and Daddy on that front. He is not easily swayed in his beliefs and we hope that will one day make him a great leader His energy level is greater than anything I have ever seen and he loves to talk about the Lord and give sweet hugs and snuggles!
