A couple of weeks ago Ben had an opportunity to take a training class at Walt Disney World. It just so happened that the class fell during Spring Break so Daddy took one for the team and got us the hook-up on accommodations through the Fed so that Mommy, Mimi, and the boys could tag along. The last time Ben and I went to Disney was 14 years ago and this was both Mimi and the boys' first trip to the most magical place on earth. We had an exhausting but fabulous time! We traveled down on Sunday and returned the following Sunday. Since the boys are young, we only did 2 park days and filled the other days with activities on resort property so that we could keep our nap schedule. We had an itinerary for each day and there is so much to do on property that we still weren't able to see everything I had listed for each day!
We left at 5am Sunday morning and made great time. The boys did not go back to sleep but really didn't "wake up" until we were already 4 hours down the road and we were able to arrive early afternoon...a whole hour ahead of schedule!
We're Here!!!!
And the first thing we see is Herbie :-)
We stayed at the Dolphin, not my first choice on property but since the Fed was paying, I certainly was not complaining. But I loved our room set-up! It was perfect for our needs. Anyway, since our room wasn't ready we explored the hotel. The boys were ready to get their wiggles out and loved the fountain in the middle of the lobby!
Then we ventured outside along the lagoon
And once we got settled in our room, we walked over to the Boardwalk for dinner and ended our night there. Along the way, the boys were captivated by all they saw.
Dinner entertainment at ESPN Club...Mimi's phone
And crawling under the table
The adventure and exploration begins tomorrow!
