We have been trying so spend our Friday mornings at the playground in our neighborhood. They have a HUGE sandbox with a gigantic water table in it as well as toddler playground equipment. It's perfect for Ethan and we get to meet sweet friends to play with! My camera was on black and white by accident :-) Ethan, Ava, and Aubrey

Memorial Day
We are so thankful for our sweet friends, the Pieratt's, who had a wonderful Memorial Day BBQ fully equipped with water slides and swimming pools for little friends! This was Ethan's first venture into the water this summer, and while he was a little fish and loved swimming last summer, he's not too sure about it right now. Hopefully, that will change as summer goes on. Not too sure about this!
Precious Baby Coo's
I remember the video I uploaded of Ethan's first coos and I promise he said the word "ever." Here are sweet Caden's first coos!

A little of this and a little of that...
Grins and giggles with Daddy
Here is the look that Ethan has whenever he comes toward Caden. You would think that he had malicious intent, but he just can't stop hugging and kissing his baby brother. It's just hilarious that he does it with gritted teeth!

Caden's Arrival
After 39 weeks and 5 days, Caden Lane made his arrival on April 25, 2011 at 10:05 a.m. weighing 8lbs. 4oz. and measuring 21 1/2 inches long. Since Ethan took us by surprise at 37 weeks with an emergency C-section, we knew exactly what to expect this time! The only concern that we had was whether or not little Caden would decide to stay in Mommy's tummy until he was almost a full term 40 week baby...especially when Mommy had already been having contractions off and on for the last 6 weeks or so of the pregnancy. Thankfully, they always stopped when I laid down. Our morning started bright and early and we headed to Baylor-Dallas while Mimi saw us off and Ethan slept peacefully. Once Ethan woke up, ate, and dressed, Aunt Leigh Ann took over and Mimi headed down to the hospital to be our official "picture taker" in the OR. After what seemed like forever and LOTS of nausea medication, a healthy baby Caden arrived! A few hours later after getting settled in upstairs, big brother came to meet Caden for the first time. A much more peaceful and uneventful delivery story than big brother's...just the way Mommy likes it!

Hospital Pictures
Even though we will be taking newborn pictures, you have to have the "official" hospital pictures, too. What you do for one, you must do for the other :-) Although they usually do not turn out well, I think this one of Caden in Daddy's hand is sweet !
One more...
We have one of Ethan that looks just like this so, of course, we had to get it!

First Week at Home
Ethan is fascinated with his little brother and wants to touch him all of the time. He's doing really well with the word "gentle," but sometimes gets a little excited. We seem to have hit a screaming/squealing stage.
Easter
Easter was Ethan's last weekend as an only child. Mimi came into town on Friday and we had a weekend full of Easter activities centered around him! Monday morning and Baby Caden's arrival was going to come all too quickly!

Children's Museum
This post is a little out of order, but last weekend Daddy gave Mommy a much needed break and took Ethan to the Children's Museum at Fair Park. This left Mommy and Caden with some naptime! It was blissful and Daddy and Ethan had a blast! Here are just a few of the 150 pictures that Daddy took. Ben said that the excitement and look on his face when he saw something new was priceless! There will definitely be a return trip in the future when baby Caden gets a little bit older.
